Sport Fishing
USD595 per person
Don’t expect to find in Uvita a last-generation, well-equipped fishing boat. Uvita is located within a National Park, so here, all the boats are just standard and not specifically orientated towards the professional activity of sport fishing. However, the waters are incredibly rich and with a very experienced captain (10+ years of sailing in the area), you may make some nice catch!
Choose a half-day inshore fishing trip to catch Mackerel, Roosterfish, Snapper, or Tuna or a full-day offshore fishing trip to capture Mackerel, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Black Tuna, or Snapper. Techniques used are trolling, casting, and in some places: bottom fishing. Also, with a full-day trip, you will get a chance to enjoy a refreshing snorkeling session at Caño Island which is considered one of the best spots in Costa Rica for snorkeling and scuba diving.
Prices for a private boat start at $595 for a half-day trip or $1,100 for a full-day trip (depending on the number of people and the season of the year – lunch included if you choose a full-day trip).
