Snorkeling
USD145 per person
The Whale’s Tail Beach in Uvita (Southbound) or la Isla Ballena are 2 possible options for some decent snorkeling close to the shore during the dry season.
However, nothing compares to the rich sea life of the waters around Caño Island. A full-day trip to this remote island is definitely worth it since it is part of an incredible corridor for multiple species of fish and marine mammals. The coral reefs are very well preserved and will offer you colorful sceneries and surprising encounters like sea turtles, rays, eels, and lots of tropical fish.
Not to mention, if you are lucky, that, bottlenose dolphins or whitetip sharks are also frequent visitors of the island. The boat ride (about 1.5 hour each way) is also a great opportunity to spot humpback whales or dolphins.
Lunch will be included in your tour, as well as the equipment, the entrance fees to all protected areas, and 2 different spots for snorkeling near the island.
