Located about 32 miles off the coast of Uvita, the Caño Island Biological Reserve offers a wide range of diving spots that are considered not only some of the best in Costa Rica but also in the whole world.
There you will have a chance to spot white-tip and reef sharks as well as different species of dolphins, giant manta rays, eagle rays, moray eels, sea turtles, and so many funny and colorful tropical fish. Depending on the season, and if you are extremely lucky, you could also swim with a humpback whale or a whale shark!
Depth ranges from 30 to 100 feet, visibility from 20 to 60 feet, and water temperature between 70°F and 86°F.
The option for a snorkeling tour starts at $150 per person.
